January was not that great with ongoing dramas. There is nothing that I’m interested in and not a lot of airing dramas. So hoping for something better I’m looking at what is coming next…

Synopsis: Woo Seul-Ki grew up in an orphanage out in a province. She moved to Seoul and enrolled in Chaehwa High School, which is a school for the top 1% of students in South Korea. Woo Seul-Ki doesn't get along with the other students. A student named Yoo Je-Yi, the most powerful student in the school, approaches her. She shows special interest in transfer student Woo Seul-Ki. They soon develop a dangerous relationship between friendship and obsession. (asianwiki)
I have passed my school era and do not care much about the dramas with school in it. However, I do not dismiss them completely. (Especially after watching Pyramid Game, and Weak Hero Class 1)
But my interest in this drama comes with Hyeri being in there. I love her in variety shows or her own talk show. She is a bit more controversial in acting but she does pick quite enjoyable dramas.
The cast also seems great. Also, I think, I heard that the characters end up in love with each other. They will probably leave them as friends but a girl can hope.
Coming Out: February 10

Synopsis: Dong-Jin is the best in the field of data mining. The reason he majored in statistics at his university was because of Mi-Jeong and his wish to help her. Since Mi-Jeong was little, strange things occurred around her. Like all the guys who liked her died or got injured. 10 years after school graduation, Dong-Jin happens to meet Mi-Jeong again. She has now cut herself off from the world, believing her fate is cursed. In hopes of Mi-Jeong breaking out of her shell, Dong-Jin wants to prove that all these unfortunate incidents are not because of her. To prove his thesis, he investigates all the situations when guys around her get hurt. Risking his life, he finally finds the law of misfortune around her. (asianwiki)
It’s already exciting knowing that this is Jin Young’s comeback after military service. But more than anything this is written by Kang Pool who wrote Moving and Light Shop. Two dramas in and I’m so curious about his next work and the world we’ll get to see.
His previous works leaned more on characters and the plot but this one seems more romantic. If we get a bit of what Lee Mi Hyeon and Kim Du Sik had in Moving, I’ll be happy.
Not only I would encourage you to watch this drama but also his previous works.
Coming Out: February 15

Synopsis: Baek Soo-Jung works as the leader of a planning team at Yongsung Department Store. She is a hard worker and is recognized for her top performance at her job. One day, she meets Ban Joo-Yeon for the first time in 16 years. When Baek Soo-Jung was in her teens, she first met Ban Joo-Yeon through an online game. He used the game ID of "Black Salt Dragon," which was the symbol of teenage angst. That time has remained one of the worst memories in her life. In his teens, Ban Joo-Yeon first met Baek Soo-Jung, who used the game ID "Strawberry." He fell in love with her and she was his first love, but, as soon as he confessed his feelings to her, she dumped him. This was the first taste of bitterness in his life.
To be honest, I would not have known about the drama coming out before if not those leaked pictures. From all the posters it seems to be a very fun and light-hearted kdrama.
Though, I wonder, what was happening in Baek Soo Jung’s life 16 years ago… I see my heart aching already.
Also, Mun Ka Young and Choi Hyun Wook are acting in the drama, so I’m definitely not gonna miss it.
Coming Out: February 17

Synopsis: Kim Mi-Kyeong is a researcher at the Potato Research Institute in a mountain valley. She has been working at the institute for 12 years and she is serious about her work. Things change after So Baek-Ho appears at the Potato Research Institute. They don’t get along and have conflicts with pretty much everything.
I’m still not fully sure about this drama. As much as my country loves potatoes, I don’t know how interesting it can be to see how the industry works. However, the main leads are quite good actors.
A lot of people have fallen in love with Kang Tae Oh in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, but he has gone to the military right away. So, I’m curious how he will be received in this drama and if it will be good.
Let’s not forget Lee Sun Bin who was great in Work Later, Drink Now! Maybe, it will be her time to shine.
Coming Out: March 1

Synopsis: Ae-Sun and Gwan-Sik were born in Jeju, South Korea in the 1950's. Ae-Sun is a rebellious girl and a lover of books, but she is unable to attend school due to her poor family background. Under this circumstance, she never gives up on her dream of becoming a poet. She expresses her feelings freely without hiding anything. Gwan-Sik is a sincere and diligent young man. He doesn’t talk that much. Gwan-Sik loves only Ae-Sun and respects her.
I don’t think I need to tell anything else other than IU and Park Bo Gum are the leads. The premise sounds unique and interesting. I’m a bit scared that the drama will be too slow-paced for my liking. I hope it doesn’t turn into The Trunk where it has two great actors and I cannot watch it because it’s boring…
There are not a lot of dramas that are set in the 50s, so seeing Korea at that time will be interesting.
Coming Out: March 7
