Tomorrow, it will be International Women's Day, and what a great time it will be to remember all the feminist icons in the dramas.
I cannot put all of them, so here are just a few that have shown her strong character and fought against prejudices.
Let me know about your favourite women characters and how they inspired you in one way or another!

I might not remember the drama well, but all I know is that she's an icon.
She's ready to call disrespectful behaviour out and keeps men in check. Of course, nothing comes easy, she has to hear ridiculous 'jokes' by the man around her, even when it's a work environment.
However, her bravery to stand up for herself and others is amazing. As a viewer, we can see how soft she can be and isn't always put together or harsh towards people.
The drama Because This Is My First Life portrays a story of three friends and three different relationships. All of the women stand out in their own way, but for me Su Ji was always close to the heart.
This is the person I want to be when I grow up (saying this as if I'm not in my middle twenties).

Jeong Nyeon is a person who is striving for her best. Yes, she's not some kind of raging feminist and the drama does not talk about the issues, but we have to think a bit broader.
She's going out of her way to do what she wants - singing. Goes to work at a theater, later even tries television. The point is she did what she wanted, not what was expected from her.
We cannot forget that Jeong Nyeon is such a girl's girl. There is rivalry but at the end of the day you can see how much she enjoys everyone's company.
There were some complications in her life, but even to the worst people in her life she showed some light. Did they deserve it? Probably no, but from Jeong Nyeon's side it was something she needed to do.

Women going house to house to sell sex toys and lingerie? Nobody has seen that, especially not in a small town in S.Korea!
It was interesting to watch how they all learn to be business savvy and bring some life into the town. They have suffered prejudices from the townspeople but came out stronger than ever.
Even individually, these women are amazing and are there to tell different stories.
Lee Ju Ri is a young single mum. She wants to dress up, wants to have fun and even has her own hair salon. Seo Yeong Bok is the head of the house. Her husband is a bit troublesome, but you can see how much she carries and what an amazing job she does with her family.
O Geum Hui is a bit older than others, a bit more reserved. But she has great education and is learning how to be more confident and finding new friends. While Han Jeong Suk, who at first is known only as a beauty who married wrong, finally has her business and learns how to market towards people, as she becomes less shy.
All of those stories are so amazing and inspiring to watch.

Rather than having one character from this web drama, I want to focus on the whole series (two seasons of it)
Every epsisode deals with different problem; having lecturer being an asshole, having a stalker etc.
It also shows that you are not alone in all of this and that it is okay to be sensitive. Talk about the problems and maybe we can make this world a little bit less scary and better.
This is a web series and you can easily find it on YouTube if you're interested!

I will never shut up about this film/book.
Everyone probably has seen the film or read the book, but if you haven't, go and do it now.
It portrays women's struggles in Korea. How misogynistic society is so tiring for women, and how sometimes people don't realise it as such a bad thing.
For example, Ji Young's husband, who tries to support her, goes and talks about having children like it's nothing hard. Forgetting the fact that she has to give up so many things, starting from her job.
Also, misogynistic men don't like this film, so that says all I need to know. How great, and wonderful it is.
