Kdrama 2024 Love Interests Tier List

I have seen withcindy doing it with the books she has read and I thought it would be a good idea to do it with the dramas I have seen this year.

In the tier list, I will rank love interest in the drama. How compatible, I would be with them and some that were not my favourite this year.

Spoilers ahead for the dramas. If you don’t want to know about that particular character much skip a bit further.

Good Partner Kim Ji Sang

This one is pretty explanatory if you have seen the drama. The man cheats on his wife and tells her it’s her fault because she’s working too much. Later he finds out that his mistress is having his baby and leaves her. How much more of an asshole you could be? Oh, let’s not forget the gaslighting of his child so she would not stay with her mother but him. We all will be fine without this one.

Wedding Impossible Lee Ji Han

Is he as bad as the first guy? No, but he was very annoying. He tries to dictate everyone's lives especially his brother’s. It begins in a silly way but the longer it goes the worse it looks for him. Some people can excuse him by saying ‘he has trauma!’ but his character rides too much on the miscommunication trope. Overall, very annoying guy.

Bad-Memory Eraser Lee Gun

Before undergoing the surgery that erased his memories Lee Gun was very depressed. He had low self-esteem and I’m sorry but it was tiring. As a similar person, I could not help him much and it would drive me insane sometimes. When memories get erased, I would still say no to him. He does become very confident and knows what to do with his life but we’re not very compatible.

Also, I understood that I should have put Kyung Ju Yeon as a lot of the drama from Gun’s perspective. Just so you know she would have been on my killing spree list.

Death’s Game Lee Ji Soo

Nothing against her character, as much as we saw her she is lovely. We didn’t get much time to know her and if we did, she would have moved up.

Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale Moon Cha Min

On the one hand, I’m sad to put him here because he’s rich and kind of sweet. On the other hand, too much of a tsundere type and I would not get his signals or try to get him. Also acts childish sometimes.

Good Partner Jeon Eun Ho

I have put another Good Partner character as there are two main female leads. He is very nice and kind and always brings her to eat which is always a bonus. I would not click with him and rather friendzone him.

Gyeongseong Creature Jang Tae Sang

Even after two seasons of seeing Jang Tae Sang, I’m still not sure who he is. Very brave but also not my type.

The same thing would go for Han So Hee’s character as I was not so sure if I should put him or her in the photos. Let me live my own life while they go beat the monsters or become them themselves.

Miss Night and Day Gye Ji Ung

Again a very nice and understanding character, at least to the people he likes. However, I would get frustrated by him not saying much.

My Happy Ending Hae Soon Young

I wanted to kill him at first but I remembered that somehow he wasn’t THAT bad. He did cheat on his wife but because she betrayed him, so it was revenge. A very shitty thing to do nonetheless but I do think his wife should start communicating some things. They both should have done that.

My Sweet Mobster Seo Ji Hwan

He is pretty similar to Gye Ji Ung, also add the shyness and a few cringe moments.

Nothing Uncovered Kim Tae Heon

I barely remember the drama but he was a bit annoying. I thought about putting the main character’s husband. However, he’s a pathetic cheating loser guy. None of them were good but it’s not like the female character was great either.

The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract Kang Tae Ha

It seems like I watched the drama ages ago, so nothing against him but he wasn’t very memorable.

A Virtuous Business Kim Do Hyeon

I do think he was very nice in the drama and had some good moments. I don’t feel we would vibe that much together.

Cinderella at 2AM Seo Ju Won

He was a very cute puppy to the female lead. Maybe because of the drama style, he was a bit cringe and I could not handle him when he was in love. Again, maybe it’s because I didn’t like the drama so much that I looked through biased glasses.

Love Next Door Choi Seung Hyo

This is going to be a controversial opinion but this is at best a one-night stand. I do admit that he’s not that bad and is kind and all that but also annoying, and childish at times.

The Atypical Family Bok Gwi Ju

The hairstyle. this explains why I would need drinks before going out with him. He also has a few issues that I don’t think I’m ready to help him handle. The female lead is way better at that than me.

The Midnight Studio Han Bom

To be honest, she almost got ‘respectfully no’ because I don’t remember much about her. Let’s all thank her face for saving her. I do know that she was nice to some ghosts and was a wholesome person.

Welcome to Samdal-ri Cho Yong Pil

I can only win a drunken one-night stand with a man who is still not over his ex. But also I'm not ready to live in a small town no matter how cute it looks.

What Comes After Love Aoki Jungo

We would be in our own spaces which is nice but also because of work would rarely meet. I can already see the most basic break-up excuse “Our schedules were so different that we grew apart.”

A Good Day to Be a Dog Jin Seo Won

A good man, even if you become a dog will still love you. The worm question got answered but rather it’s a cute dog… Then a worm. It feels that he would be very plain and boring. Another minus is that he teaches maths and I could not listen to a second of him speaking about it.

Family By Choice Kim San Ha

We would never work because he has been in love with his childhood friends since childhood.

I enjoy acts of service as a love language and he is quite good at that. However, his choosing to help his mum is a bit too much for me… His mother is too much and he needs to be less kind. All other aspects of him are great though.

Mr. Plankton Hae Jo

He is a very nice character, and I hold him near to my heart. There is one flaw… HE’S DYING. Also a bit crazy and would break everyone’s heart in the long run. But at least you get adventures, right?

No Gain, No Love Kim Ji Uk

There is not much reason. He has a good personality and is very loveable, except for the part where he ghosts his fake wife for a bit. He is similar to Seo Won in the regard that I would get bored of him and that is my toxic trait.

The Judge from Hell Han Da On

Has a good job, and a good-looking face the only thing he doesn’t have is my heart and a house. I always kept wondering if he actually only lived in that tiny place before moving next to the female lead. Also, our morals don’t go well, I do agree with Justitia more.

When the Phone Rings Baek Sa Eon

I do find him wonderful, also rich. However, he has a hard time with communication even though he should be spoke person. I don’t think I can wait as long as the female lead for him to start showing some kind of affection. Very mixed signals guy, and I would miss all the signals.

I’m also giving mixed signals by saying all that and putting him on a second tier. A good match, after all, I guess.

Doctor Slump Yeo Jeong Woo/ Lovely Runner Ryu Seon Jae

He is very good-looking and will always look with those loving eyes but also fun and is around when needed.

I put them in the same explanation because they are quite similar in being very green flags. Also, they do have a bit more personality, which feels more interesting to me.

My Demon Jung Koo Won

He was more on the ‘no drinks needed’ tier but now that I think about it, he was fun. Always amusing to have a demon near you. That’s all I’m going to say about him before I get in trouble with religious people.
