What are your opinions on the April dramas? I haven't started a few of them yet, but I'm so excited to see Resident Playbook and some others!

However, I have finished quite a few dramas this month, so let's look at what we will get next!

Let me know which drama you are the most curious about!

ree

Starring: Park Ji Hoon, Ryeo Un, Choi Min Yeong, Lee Min Jae, Bae Na Ra, Lee Jun Young

Synopsis: After transferring to Eunjang High School, Yeon Si Eun still carries the scars of his past - a brutal lesson in what it means to fight and fail. Determined never to lose another friend, he forms unlikely bonds with Park Hu Min, Seo Jun Tae, and Ko Hyeon Tak, but their friendship soon attracts the attention of Alliance, a ruthless gang led by the vicious Na Baek Jin. (Mydramalist)

I saw the drama's first season last year and surprisingly enjoyed it very much. The story was interesting, and the characters were insane but still lovable. This is what I expect from the second season, as there are many great actors.

If you haven't seen Weak Hero Class 1, I recommend it, and if you wanna tune in for the second, you must watch the first part.

While searching for dramas, I noticed that the director from the first season was not coming back. It will only be Yoo Su Min who does both, screenwriting and directing. I'm wondering how much it will impact the series...

Coming out: April 25

ree

Starring: Lee Jun Young, Jung Eun Ji, Lee Mi Do, Lee Seung Woo

Synopsis: A heart-pounding, muscle-building drama about Do Hyeon Jung, the manager of a gym who has become a 'health freak'. He fights a fierce game of survival between being a self-employed businessman and a trainer in an unfriendly world. Lee Mi Ran is a travel agency planning and development manager. A character that cannot be left out of two keywords: love of food and burning love between a man and a woman. (Mydramalist)

I was not so sure about the drama at first. I don't care for gym goers, even though a workplace at a travel agency sounds quite nice. Some clips I saw with Jung Eun Ji made me more curious about the drama.

The history of my crush has been there for a long time, thanks to the short clips, I remembered it again. She looked very cute eating those delicious foods is what I'm trying to say.

Also, I want to see Lee Jung Young's character succeed in love. You cannot give me two dramas with him and leave him without a lover! However, it seems he will be involved in a lot of things this year.

Coming Out: April 30

ree

Starring: Kang Ha Neul, Go Min Si, Kim Shin Rok, Yoo Soo Bin

Synopsis: Depicts the story of Han Beom U, the successor of a large food company, who runs the best fine dining restaurant in Seoul but has no interest in 'taste'. On the other hand, Mo Yeon Ju is a chef crazy about 'taste', and runs a one-table restaurant without a sign in a remote corner of the countryside. They grow together and fall in love while running a small restaurant in the city of Miraek, Jeonju. (Mydramalist)

First of all, the actors on the list are the chef's kiss by itself. I already know that everyone will do a good job!

What made me more curious was the collaboration between the Hope or Dope writer and Weak Hero 1 director. As I mentioned, he moved to another project. The drama seems a bit more on the rivalry, fun stuff, but their previous works say that it can be more than that.

I'm curious if we'll get to dip our toes in deeper waters and what will become of this drama.

Coming Out: May 5

Spring of Youth

Starring: Ha Yu Jun, Park Ji Hu, Lee Seung Hyub

Synopsis: It tells the story of the top star of K-pop's best band group, 'Four Seasons', who ends up getting kicked out of the band overnight. He experiences a turbulent college life like a real variety show on a college campus, which he visits for the first time and falls passionately in love with Kim Bom. They form a mysterious band to start music again. (Mydramalist)

Coming out: May 6

Second Shot at Love

Starring: Choi Soo Young, Gong Myung, Jo Yoon Hee, Kang Hyung Suk

Synopsis: A story about a woman who was born and raised in a family of alcoholics, escaping from her drunkenness. Han Geum Ju is a mechanic who becomes a public servant at a large company because she loves cats. She was called a "woman who drinks better than men," but when she is given another title of "alcoholic," Geum Ju decides to challenge herself by "abstaining from drinking." Seo Ui Jun, a doctor, believes that alcohol is not a cure but an anaesthetic and can ruin your life. He will likely get involved with Geum Ju, who has been given the title of "alcoholic. (Mydramalist)

Coming Out: May 12

ree

Starring: Jung Kyung Ho, Seol In Ah, Cha Hak Yeon

Synopsis: No Min Jin is a labour attorney who sees ghosts. He wanders around labour sites to earn office rent, and after coming back from the brink of death, he grows up solving labour problems requested by ghosts. (Mydramalist)

On one hand, it can become another Oh My Ghostness. An amazing drama, which was fun but also touched a bit on sad subjects. A very nice rom-com.

On the other hand, it could be the Delivery Man. Not a bad drama, but quickly forgettable.

I will be rooting for it because the cast seems great, and I usually enjoy Jung Kyung Ho dramas. Of course, I'm also curious about what ghost stories we will get to hear.

Coming Out: May 16

Dear Hongrang

Starring: Lee Jae Wook, Jo Bo Ah, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, Park Byung Eun, Kim Jae Wook

Synopsis: In the late Joseon Dynasty, a family rises to wealth through the art trade. However, a mysterious event unfolds when the son, Hong Rang, returns after a decade-long disappearance with no memory of his childhood. His half-sister, Jae I, who has been close to him since childhood, now seeks the truth behind his sudden disappearance. (Mydramalist)

Coming Out: May 16

ree

Starring: Son Suk Ku, Kim Da Mi, Hyun Bong Sik, Kwak Ja Hyung

Synopsis: One night, Yi Na’s uncle, who was like a father, mother and friend to her, was murdered. She was the only witness to her uncle’s murder case. She was also suspected as the murderer by Han Saem. 10 years later, Yi Na now works as a criminal profiler. She has been a member of the criminal analysis team at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for the past 6 years. Yi Na is usually the first to figure out the motive of a crime from the crime scene. Yi Na now meets Han Saem, who is convinced that she killed her uncle. They work together to uncover the truth behind the murder. (Mydramalist)

Kim Da Mi and Son Suk Ku? That was already enough to tune me in. But when I saw that the screenwriter was the same one who worked on Tunnel and Navillera, I knew I had to mark it on my calendar.

I think both of the dramas got 10 from me, and I don't want to set big expectations, but... Let's just hope I won't have to eat my words later.

Coming out: May 21

Our Unwritten Seoul

Starring: Park Bo Young, Park Jin Young, Ryu Kyung Soo, Lee Jae In, Im Chul Soo

Synopsis: Twin sisters Yoo Mi Ji and Yoo Mi Rae are different in everything except their faces. Yoo Mi Ji, the younger of the twins, has ended her short heyday as a promising track and field athlete and is currently living a free-spirited life. On the other hand, the older sister of the twins, Yoo Mi Rae, has been walking the path of the elite since her school days and is currently a perfectionist working at a public corporation. The twins, who are physically identical but lead starkly different lives, embark on a bold charade, switching lives for some undisclosed reason. (Mydramalist)

Coming Out: May 24

Good Boy

Starring: Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, Tae Won Seok

Synopsis: The story of medalists in international competitions who decided to become police officers through the Olympic special recruitment. Instead of medals on their necks, they now have their police IDs as they encounter a lot of immoral and foul people. The K-drama will showcase an "Olympic Avengers," a special team that will be dedicated to violent crimes and cases filled with injustices by utilising their skills as players. (Mydramalist)
