These months are going by so fast, and I feel like I'm not keeping up with my dramas. Anyway... Here is the list for the upcoming dramas!
Is there something that caught your attention?

Starring: Jeon Do Yeon, Kim Go Eun. Park Hae Soo, Jin Seon Kyu
Synopsis: An Yun Su works as an art teacher. She has peaceful and ordinary days, but her life suddenly changes. Her husband is murdered, and she is accused of killing him. While in prison, a mysterious woman named Mo Eun approaches her. Mo Eun is called a 'witch' by the other prisoners because she can see through others and easily know what they think and feel. An Yun Su and Mo Eun both have secrets, and they make a dangerous deal. (Mydramalist)
The director, Lee Jeong Hyo, has worked on "Doona", "Crash Landing On You", "Romance Is a Bonus Book", and more. These works are different in their own way, but I also know they will all be beautiful and well filmed.
I was quite surprised that we're getting another work from Kim Go Eun when she was recently in "You and Everything Else". Of course, this makes me happier, but getting something so soon, unexpected.
The premise of the drama reminds me of a "Defendant", just a reversed version where the main focus goes to a woman. If it gets a little bit close to that drama, I'm even more excited because it was amazing.
Though after watching the trailer, I can only say that this will be a good and twisted thriller.
Surely Tomorrow
Starring: Park Seo Joon, Won Ji An, Lee El, Lee Joo Young
Synopsis: Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji U find themselves drawn to each other throughout their lives. The pair first fell in love in their early twenties, only to part ways. They reunited in their late twenties and gave romance another chance, but once again went their separate ways. Years later, fate brings them together unexpectedly—Gyeong Do, now a journalist covering a sensational scandal, and Ji U, the wife of the man at the centre of it. Against the backdrop of public scrutiny and personal history, their story unfolds into a surprising third chapter. (Mydramalist)
Airs: December 6th

Starring: Jung Kyung Ho, So Ju Yeon, Yoon Na Moo, Seo Hye Won, Kang Hyung Suk
Synopsis: Kang David is a legal influencer with a flawless work ethic and a clean-cut image, boasting hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. As he is about to embark on a brilliant path to success, he gets caught up in an unexpected incident, steps down from his judgeship, and begins a new chapter as a public interest lawyer. Park Gi Ppeum is the complete opposite of Kang David. She finds comfort in fulfilling her mission as a lawyer: defending human rights, realising social justice, and helping good citizens. (Soompi)
As soon as I saw Jung Kyung Ho in the poster, I knew I would watch it. I enjoy his acting a lot, even if sometimes dramas are not that good, I know he'll deliver.
The other cast members are exceptional, too. It's always a delight to see Seo Hye Won. I can already imagine her becoming a scene stealer.
What got me even more excited about the drama was the screenwriter, Moon Yoo Seok. He wrote for "Miss Hammurabi" and "The Devil Judge", so this HAS to be an amazing law drama too.
The director seems promising too, as he worked on "Itaewon Class", "Who Are You: School 2015" and more quite well-known dramas.
When I saw the synopsis, I wasn't completely sold on the drama, but seeing all these people come to work on it, I feel assured.
First Man
Starring: Ham Eun Jung, Yoon Sun Woo, Park Geon Il, Oh Hyun Kyung, Kim Min Seol
Synopsis: Twin sisters O Jang Mi and Ma Seo Rin live opposite lives. Jang Mi is a warm and honest woman who fights for what’s right, while Seo Rin, a reckless chaebol heiress, is used to getting her way no matter the cost. When fate intertwines their worlds, they find themselves walking paths meant for the other; uncovering painful secrets, unexpected love, and dangerous rivalries that blur the line between justice and desire. (Mydramalist)
Airs: December 8th

Starring: Yoo Ji Tae, Kwak Do Won, Lee Bum Soo, Lee Min Jung
Synopsis: Code name “J” is a veiled criminal planner who is extremely smart. He has a 100% winning rate in his crimes. Jang Jung Hyeok is a corrupt detective who is obsessed with money. Cha Gi Tae once worked as the head of a financial crime team at the NIS (National Intelligence Service), but he does not hold that job anymore. Due to J's planned crime, which took place 5 years ago, Cha Gi Tae’s life has become a mess. Due to the crime from 5 years ago, Han Su Hyeon’s life was completely ruined. She is now the best counterfeit bill artist and waits for the moment she can take revenge on J. (Mydramalist)
The premise intrigues me quite a bit. We have this crime that happened 5 years ago that destroyed a lot of lives, and this mastermind criminal.
With these kinds of dramas, it makes me curious who I will be rooting for, the technically good guys (aka the person who worked in NIS) or the mastermind of those crimes. Though it's easy to say that none of them are really that kind, nice people, with one of them being a corrupt detective.
I have not seen anything from the screenwriter, but the director, Jin Hyeok, has made very popular dramas like "Legend of the Blue Sea" or "The Master's Sun".
The title of the drama could have been better; for now, it's very hard to get anything that's actually associated with this work.
Love Me
Starring: Seo Hyun Jin, Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Si Woo, Yoon Se Ah, Chang Ryul, Kim Da Hyun
Synopsis: Seo Jun Gyeong is single and works as an OB-GYN. She appears to have a perfect life, with a good job and attractive appearance, but Seo Jun Gyeong is actually a very lonely person. She holds a secret that she is afraid to admit. Her secret is that she ran away from her family 7 years ago, due to an accident that caused her family to collapse. To keep her secret from being disclosed, she struggles to live more fiercely and confidently. A man then appears in front of Seo Jun Gyeong. He is the only person to learn about her loneliness. Airs: December 19th

Starring: Choi Soo Young, Kim Jae Yeong, Choi Hee Jin, Kim Hyun Jin
Synopsis: Maeng Se Na is nicknamed the "lawyer for villains" for taking on unpopular criminal cases that face public criticism. She is secretly a 10-year devoted fan of the band Gold Boys. When her idol becomes embroiled in a bizarre murder case, she conceals her admiration, takes his defence, and uncovers an unexpected truth. (Mydramalist)
The premise of the drama sounds really good and, in a way, reminds me of "Entertainer", where a rising star got accused of rape. Then I saw that the director of "I Do I " worked on that drama too!
It has romance as its genre, so I wonder if we will also get more humorous parts, maybe a bit of rom-com vibes? Something similar to "Her Private Lives" or "Lovely Runner"?
Yes, I only mentioned those dramas because it has idols in them.
I'm also excited for the actors. Choi Soo Young's acting is great, and I love to see her. And I wonder what kind of character Kim Jae Yeong will have this time.
I commented on the "Villains" title, but this one is not ideal either.
Mydramalist/Netflix says it's "I Dol I", which I went for even though it doesn't make sense in English. Asianwiki translates it literally to "Idol I", which is what it would be in Korean. But then there's Soompi, who says it's "Idol Eye", also writes that it's a literal translation... I can see where they are coming from.
This is how it looks in Korean: 아이돌아이 (romanisation: idoli).
Plot twist: it's "Idol Child" because 아이 can also mean child in Korean.
Anyway, as we see, very confusing!

Starring: Hyun Bin, Jung Woo Sung, Won Ji An, Seo Eun Soo, Cho Yeo Jung, Jung Sung Il
Synopsis: Set in the 1970s, Baek Gi Tae is an ambitious man who thirsts for wealth and power. Jang Gun Yeong is a prosecutor with animalistic instinct and fearsome tenacity. Facing a major incident, Jang Gun Yeong throws his life to stop Baek Gi Tae. The people around them include Lobbyist Choi Yu Ji, Investigator O Ye Jin, Bae Geum Ji and Chief Secretary Cheon Seok Jeong. (Asianwiki)
It can either be very good with this amazing cast, or something not for me.
I enjoy thrillers and mysteries, but I wonder how much politics we will get, and if the action scenes might become bigger than the plot.
There is also a 'parent story ", The Drug King", looking at the cast, everyone seems to be different characters, and probably is just set in that particular world. There might be a cameo or two for the fans.
Well, at least I can hope they're not that much related because I haven't seen the film.
Also, if you're sad about that there will be only 6 episodes of Hyun Bin. Well, this drama already has a second season, just not sure when.
Cashero
Starring: Lee Jun Ho, Kim Hye Joon, Kim Byung Chul, Kim Hyang Gi
Synopsis: Kang Sang Ung, a public servant with superhuman strength, gains power based on the amount of cash he possesses. He struggles to maintain enough money to use his abilities. His girlfriend, Kim Min Suk, is practical and efficient but supports him despite his power’s inefficiency. Meanwhile, Byeon Ho In, a lawyer and leader of a supernatural organisation, and Bang Eun Mi, a telekinetic powered by calories, also have abilities. Together, they aim to protect their normal lives from villains who seek to destabilise the world. (Mydramalist)
