Do you already have a K-drama that will be stuck with you for years? Or are you still searching for that one? Hope I can help with the list of what dramas we can look forward to! Although it does seem like fewer dramas are coming out...
Is there something you're already excited about?
Bitch x Rich Season 2
Starring: Lee Eun Saem, Ye Ri, Lee Jong Hyuk
Synopsis: Kim Hye In is the first member of Diamond 6 from an underprivileged class. Baek Je Na, the Queen, whose world is endangered after the crumbling of the succession structure. Kim Hae In, the Cinderella who returns dreaming of revenge, not love. Seo Do Eon, who is in confusion after facing the tragic truth of what he believed to be love. Now, a powerful new face enters the scene, shaking everything up! Once again, Hye In and Je Na find themselves at the centre of it all. Will they make the same choice, or will they choose differently? (Mydramalist)
Out: July 3

Starring: Lee Jong Suk, Mun Ka Young, Kang You Seok, Ryu Hye Young Im Sung Jae
Synopsis: A senior associate lawyer in his ninth year, An Ju Hyeong seems cold-blooded, but no one can deny his competence in the field. On the other hand, Kang Hui Ji, a junior associate at Johwa Law Firm, is a social butterfly who always ends up surrounded by people. Alongside them are Bae Mun Jeong, Cho Chang Won, and Ha Sang Gi. These five lovable law firm attorneys struggle and grow through various cases, both inside and outside the courtroom, while building solid friendships by having meals together. (Mydramalist)
Although the synopsis doesn't seem that intriguing, I enjoy most of the law dramas. Also, Lee Jong Suk is here, so there is no way I would miss seeing his face.
Digging a bit deeper into it, I saw that the director is Park Seung Woo (Kairos, Adamas, The Guardians). I enjoy his dramas, but it seems a bit darker than what I saw in the teasers of Law and the City. They were eating their food and having a chat, so it makes me more curious about what we will see in the drama.
All of the actors also seem great, moving past Lee Jong Suk, we have lovely Mun Ka Young, who I know will be great as a social butterfly.
It feels like I haven't seen Ryu Hye Young since Law School, and I'm seeing her again in a law drama where she now gets to be an attorney. Seems like law school worked.
Low Life
Starring: Ryu Seung Ryong, Yang Se Jong, Lim Soo Jung, Im Hyung Joon, Lee Sang Jin, Kim Eui Sung
Synopsis: Set in the 1970s, an uncle and his nephew, after receiving a proposal to go out to the West Sea, embark on a treasure dig to escape their life as sellers of counterfeits. (Mydramalist)
Out: July 16

Starring: Lee Dong Wook, Lee Sung Kyung, Ryu Hye Young, Oh Na Ra
Synopsis: Depicts the story of Park Seok Cheol, the eldest grandson of a third-generation gangster family with an unexpectedly pure heart, and his first love Kang Mi Yeong, who dreams of becoming a singer. Seok Cheol faces the tumultuous ups and downs of life with tears and laughter to protect his family, career, and love. (Mydramalist)
I hope you're enjoying Mercy for None because we're getting another gangster drama. Though this is romance and family drama, so interesting how it will turn out.
What caught my eye is that both the director and the screenwriter stopped doing anything around 2014. I never saw anything from them, but I wonder what kind of atmosphere it will bring.
Is this going to be a drama where it isn't noticeable? The one that kind of brings nostalgic times? Or will nostalgia turn sour?
The cast also surprised me, I didn't expect to see Lee Dong Wook and Lee Sung Kyung match. Also, Ryu Hye Young's another drama in the same month???

Starring: Yeom Jung Ah, Won Jin A, Choi Young Joon, Dex
Synopsis: Kim Se Hui is the chief director of a large hospital and the operator of a charity foundation. A highly respected doctor, but unknown to the public, she is also the head of an illegal adoption organisation that is run by Jung Hyeon. Kim Se Hui holds a twisted belief that only superior genes should survive. In the case of a child who is adopted through their illegal operation and does not meet the adoptive parents' expectations, Kim Se Hui's group provides a free refund for a certain time. When a child is returned by the adoptive parents, Kim Se Hui's organisation kills the child to destroy evidence of their crime. Kim A Hyeon was one of the refunded children, but Kim A Hyeon dramatically survived. Now, she is the leader and a spiritual supporter of the surviving children. She goes up against Kim Se Hui for survival and revenge. (Mydramalist)
The plot sounds interesting and has already made me wonder how everything will turn out. One thing that would have been perfect if they had translated the Korean title literally. In Korean, it's "Baby Shopping". It sounds brutal, but eye-catching, and we will get a lot of that.
I've never seen Dex in a drama, so it will be interesting, and the main cast seems good. However, I am questioning their choice to put Lee Na Eun here, as she was accused of being a bully. There are literal criminals in dramas, so a bully is barely anything, I guess.
She's shown as a supporting actress, though, so we'll see if she's really there.
Try: We Become Miracles
Starring: Yoon Kye Sang, Im Se Mi, Kim Yo Han
Synopsis: Ju Ga Ram used to be a rugby player who was the hope for Korean rugby. He had talent and star potential, but a drug scandal ruined everything. 3 years later, he returns as a contract coach for the high school rugby team where he once played. The high school rugby team is the weakest team in its league. He also reunites with his ex-girlfriend, Bae I Ji, who is a shooting coach at the same high school. They dated for 10 years, but after his drug scandal, Ju Ga Ram disappeared. Now, they reunite while working at the same high school. (Mydramalist)

the title of the first one caught me by surprise lol... and why do i feel like law is a hugely overused genre in kdramas? for the moment, it's difficult to say which ones will be good—i usually decide that after watching the trailers !
