Spring is for new seasons of dramas and hopefully something completely new and beautiful in between that!

What drama are you the most excited to see?

Bloodhound Season 2

Starring: Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi, Rain

Synopsis: Having taken down the loan sharks, Geon U is more motivated than ever to pursue his dream of becoming a boxing champion — with U Jin now fully in his corner as his coach and chosen family. Baek Jeong, who rules over an underground boxing league and crushed even reigning champions with ruthless ease, enters their lives. Driven only by money and violence, he sets his sights on Geon U as his next opponent. With the threat closing in, Geon U and U Jin brace for what’s coming. (Mydramalist)

I've seen the first season, and Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi had such a great chemistry together, but I won't be tuning in for the second one.

Airs: April 3rd

"Perfect Crown" is coming out on the 10th of April!
"Perfect Crown" is coming out on the 10th of April!

Starring: IU, Byeon Woo Seok, Steve Noh, Gong Seung Yeon

Synopsis: Set in an alternate version of Korea ruled by a constitutional monarchy in the 21st century. The story follows Chaebol heiress Seong Hui Ju, who is frustrated by her 'commoner' status despite having everything, and melancholic Grand Prince Yi An, whose royal blood is his only identity and who has nothing despite being the son of the king. (Mydramalist)

I have a lot of expectations put into this. The director, Park Joon Hwa, is very promising as he worked on "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim", "Because This Is My First Life", which are definitely on people's best romance lists.

However, this is the first drama for screenwriter Yoo A In. Debut dramas can be very good, though, it might give a breath of fresh air!

But that is not the first thing that people notice about the drama.

The casting seems very promising, especially with IU, who had a hit drama "When Life Gives You Tangerines", and Byeon Woo Seok, who suddenly rose to fame after "Lovely Runner".

Even if the feedback from the trailer wasn't that nice, I saw people criticise some things, but I still want to root for it.

Also, the premise reminds me a bit of "The Last Empress", but that's obviously because of the monarchy set in the 21st century.

"Yumi's Cells 3" is coming out on the 13th of April!
"Yumi's Cells 3" is coming out on the 13th of April!

Starring: Kim Go Eun, Kim Jae Won, Jeon Seok Ho, Choi Daniel

Synopsis: In her 30s, Kim Yu Mi is now a celebrated romance novelist. But with no more new goals or challenges, her cells have fallen asleep, leaving her days lifeless—until Sun Rok appears. He is an editor in his 20s at Julie Publishing, and he is all about facts, logic, and boundaries, feeling perfectly relaxed when staying home alone. But as Yu Mi starts to invade his world, he draws a line—only to find himself slowly, irresistibly, falling for her. (Mydramalist)

We're all back for the third season! Director, screenwriters, and of course, our main actress, Kim Go Eun!

Even Yumi's bad hairstyle is back...

I don't remember much from the last two seasons, as it happened a very long time ago, but I'm still excited to see Yumi get a nice, happy ending. I wasn't that big a fan of Woong or Babi, so I wonder if Sin Sun Rok will be able to change my mind.

If you haven't yet watched the first two seasons, I would recommend it if you want something light-hearted.

It's not 10/10 drama for me, but there's a place in my heart which is rooting for Yumi.

Reverse

Starring: Seo Ji Hye, Go Soo, Kim Jae Kyung

Synopsis: Myo Jin lost her parents in a mysterious accident when she was a child. For 15 years, she has endured, only thinking about revenge. The perfect opportunity presents itself, but... She is involved in a car accident and loses all her memories. New facts are encountered in the process of chasing lost memories. Driven by crises, they are forced to come close to a shocking truth. (Mydramalist)

I saw that dates for this drama keep changing, so don't get too excited, but I would like to see Seo Ji Hye back on my screen.

Airs: April 17th

"We Were All Trying Here" is coming out on the 18th of April!
"We Were All Trying Here" is coming out on the 18th of April!

Starring: Koo Kyo Hwan, Go Youn Jung, Oh Jung Se, Kang Mal Geum, Park Hae Joon

Synopsis: Hwang Dong Man is an aspiring director who is the only one in the famous film industry group "The Eight" that hasn't debuted. Byeon Eun A works as a producer for Choi Film. She's called "The Axe" due to her sharp screenplay reviews. Park Gyeong Se is a film director. He is particularly swayed and stressed by Hwang Dong Man after the recent movie bombed at the box office. Ko Hye Jin is the CEO of Gobak Film and is married to Park Gyeong Se. Hwang Jin Man is Hwang Dong Man's older brother and a former poet. A story of the struggles and journey of people tormented by envy and jealousy, while trying to find their own peace. (Mydramalist)

I have a lot of trust in this drama. Director Cha Young Hoon will make it well, as "Welcome to Samdal-ri" and "Are You Human?" were fun to watch, while the screenwriter of "My Mister" and "My Liberation Notes" will bring a great storyline.

Not sure how delusional I already am, but I want to have high expectations.

This also sounds like a healing drama; it'll start with a lot of trauma and hopefully end on a somewhat happy note.

It's really cool that the main lead, Koo Kyo Hwan, has dipped into screenwriting and directing himself, so the character to him might come a bit easier.

I wish they had picked someone else for Go Youn Jung's role. Nothing against her, but because of the age gap with the others, she doesn't seem to fit in with them. Hopefully, later on, the drama will change my mind.

The Scarecrow

Starring: Park Hae Soo, Lee Hee Joon, Kwak Sun Young, Seo Ji Hye

Synopsis: Follows a detective, Kang Tae Ju, investigating a series of serial murders, who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises, Cha Si Yeong. Set between 1988 and 2019, the story tracks two men bound by misfortune as they chase the truth across 33 years, building suspense through their uneasy alliance of hatred. (Mydramalist)

We might not get "Signal 2", but we are getting something similar?

Airs: April 20th

Sold Out on You

Starring: Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Won Bin, Kim Bum, Jo Woo Ri

Synopsis: A healing romantic comedy that follows two individuals who pour their hearts into their work every day, yet feel like they have big holes in their hearts. Matthew Lee runs the world’s only farm that produces miracle ingredients as the CEO and lead researcher of a natural cosmetics ingredient company. Dam Ye Jin, an ace home shopping host known for her streak of sell-out successes. She handles a wide range of products with expertise, but her intense dedication to work has led her to suffer from chronic, severe insomnia. (Mydramalist)

I feel like this drama is going to hurt me, especially as it has Kim Bum as second lead...

Airs: April 22nd

Filing for Love

Starring: Shin Hae Sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae Wook, Hong Hwa Yeon

Synopsis: Gi Jun, once the ace of the internal audit team, is now stuck handling petty office scandals—all thanks to his manager, In A. One day, he receives an anonymous tip: In A is involved in an inappropriate relationship at work. Digging into her secret for revenge, Gi Jun instead finds himself drawn to her. And as In A shares her secret with him, she begins to wonder whether Gi Jun might be the one person who can help her overcome her dark past and finally find happiness. An office romance quietly blossoms within the very duty meant to chase down office affairs and corruption. (Mydramalist)

I have my worries about this drama, but the cast is so goood...

Airs: April 25th
