This month has already brought so many exciting dramas! I haven't even started half of it because I'm happily stuck on Melo Movie.
However, soon everything will be forgotten, so let's see what we should watch next!
This time, I decided to put an "honourable mentions". It might not be the most exciting drama, for me, but it has good actors or something else that caught my eye.
In my February post, I only included the dramas I was anticipating, but I'm trying a bit of a different take.
Let me know which one you liked better!
The Art of Negotiation
Starring: Lee Je Hoon, Kim Dae Myung, Sung Dong Il, Jang Hyun Sung, Oh Man Seok, Ahn Hyun Ho, Cha Gang Yun.
Synopsis: A story follows an expert known as a legendary negotiator and his team including Lawyer O Sun Yeong and Choi Jin Sun. The M&A expert specialises in large corporation deals. (mydramalist)
Coming out: March 8

Starring: Park Eun Bin, Sul Kyung Gu, Park Byung Eun, Yoon Chan Young
Synopsis: Choi Deok Hui is the best neurosurgeon in the world. In the past, he had a pupil named Jung Se Ok. She was a promising and gifted doctor but during an operation, Deok Hui permanently kicked her out of the operating room. Se Ok now works as a shadow doctor in an illegal operating room. Somehow, she meets her ex-teacher, Deok Hui, again. These two crazy but gifted neurosurgeons confront each other and grow through that. (mydramalist)
I'm always curious about medical dramas. They are interesting even when the characters are not great, I can rely on touching and interesting stories.
Trauma Code was a bit weak for me, but this is tagged as a thriller, so I'm very intrigued about the storyline. Especially when we're dealing with illegal stuff, I don't think there is a drama portraying a shadow doctor (in a good light).
Also, this is Park Eun Bin's comeback after a year or so! I didn't like Castaway Diva much, but I'm always sat to see her new projects.
Coming out: March 19
Villains Everywhere
Starring: Oh Na Ra, So Yoo Jin, Park Young Gyu, Seo Hyun Cheol, Song Jin Woo
Synopsis: A family comedy situation drama about middle-aged K-sisters, their husbands and their children living together in a world overflowing with villains. O Na Ra is a mother who lives for today as if there is no tomorrow. Although she has a dazzling love story from her past as a flight attendant. (mydramalist)
Coming out: March 19

Starring: Xiumin, Exy, Lee Sae On, Lee Soo Min
Synopsis: The man from Joseon who jumped 400 years in time in search of true flavour! An authentic time-travelling culinary drama. Joseon was a time when status and regulations prohibited many things and discriminated against many people. At the moment of his death, he suddenly jumped 400 years and came to Seoul in 2024. He continues working in a restaurant with the mother and daughter who saved his life. (mydramalist)
I always worry about time-jumping dramas. It can be the best ones or become weird and boring. But even with those thoughts, I'm excited about this drama and what it will bring.
The cast is pretty fresh but exciting; let's find something new to fangirl over. Of course, everyone knows Xiumin from EXO, and maybe Exy who was in WJSN, so I believe not only kdrama fans will come to watch this one.
The storyline seems quite fun too. I'm curious how the person from 400 years ago will see the world...
Coming out: March 24
The Divorce Insurance
Starring: Lee Dong Wook, Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Da Hee, Lee Joo Bin
Synopsis: The drama tells the story of an insurance company's product development team developing a divorce-related product. It examines love, marriage, divorce, and other topics through the process of setting insurance premiums. No Gi Jun is a member of the product development team. Although he has a neat appearance and is an elite he has gone through a divorce three times. He is more familiar with marital issues than anyone else and brings his story to the front. (mydramalist)
Coming Out: March 31

Starring: Roh Jeon Eui, Lee Chae Min, Cho Jun Young
Synopsis: Ban Hui Jin is a top student in the sculpture department and has a good personality. As a freshman, she stated that she didn't notice a guy's appearance, only their personality. She dated a man who was not so good-looking but it didn't go well. Hui Jin now admits she likes good-looking men. Her troubles begin as men with various charms appear in front of her. (mydramalist)
Again we have fresh faces with main characters which is fun. Roh Jeon Eui's drama The Witch is ongoing, so I was quite surprised to know that we will see her on screen again soon. I'm also excited to see more of Lee Chae Min.
What really sold this drama for me was when I saw Lee Seul as a writer. She did mostly web dramas, but they were always fun. If you enjoyed the Love Playlist series, XX this might be something to look forward to!
Coming out: April 4

Starring: Go Youn Jung, Shin Shi Ah, Han Ye Ji, Kang Yoo Seok, Jung Joon Won
Synopsis: Set at the Jongno branch of Yulje Medical Center, the series follows the hospital lives and turbulent friendships of young obstetrics and gynaecology residents who proudly enter the unpopular opinion in an era of low birth rates. (mydramalist)
This drama has been delayed a few times, so I feel like everyone's excitement is skyrocketing. I hope nothing happens again.
I imagine we will get a lot of new friendships and relationships to route for. I can't even count how many times I cried during Hospital Playlist so we'll see how this one will go!
Coming out: April 12

Starring: Namkoong Min, Jeon Yeo Been, Seo Hyun Woo
Synopsis: Lee Je Ha followed in her father's footsteps and became a movie director. Lee Je Ha received worldwide attention for his debut film and was called a genius, but he has been obsessed over a possible sophomore jinx. Over the past 5 years, he has not worked on anything but it's time to end it. While doing research, Lee Je Ha meets Lee Da Eum, an aspiring actress who suffers from a rare incurable disease. As they work on the romance movie together they form a romantic relationship. (mydramalist)
I'm still watching Melo Movie, and in a way, it sounds similar. Mainly, because it has something to do with films. For now, those two dramas are the same to me. Later, maybe, I'll make a post in comparison.
After seeing the cast I got even more thrilled. I haven't seen Namkoong Min drama in a long time, and Jang Yeo Been is for sure will break my heart.
Coming out: April 18
Haunted Palace
Starring: Yook Sung Jae, Bona, Kim Ji Hoon
Synopsis: Yun Gap is a government officer who works in the palace. He has a good reputation and has a handsome appearance. One day, Yun Gap's body becomes possessed by an Imoogi creature. Afterwards, people start talking about him as if he lost his mind. The Imoogi is related to Yeo Ri, whose first love was Yun Gap. She has a divine gift but refuses to accept her fate as a medium of spirit. However, as she finds out about Yun Gap she gets into a haunted palace. Weird and terrible incidents continue to take place there. To get rid of ghosts, Yun Gap, Yeori and King search for the secret of female ghosts.
